As we take a short summer break, it feels like the right moment to look back and, above all, say thank you.<\/p>\n

This season has brought conversations, new perspectives and change. We\u2019ve had the privilege of speaking with remarkable professionals about wellbeing, leadership, medicine, purpose and the values that matter most in a constantly evolving profession.<\/p>\n

In medicine, urgency can easily take over. Listening takes time. Empathy takes attention. Compassion requires us to be present.<\/p>\n

These conversations have reminded us that we need to step outside our daily routines and question our own assumptions. That space to reflect can help us navigate a growth mindset and change how we choose to move forward in our lives\u2024<\/p>\n

This season has also marked a new chapter for us.<\/p>\n

She is an award-winning leader in oncology and healthcare transformation, recognised for her contributions to cancer care, innovation, and compassionate leadership.<\/p>\n

As an Executive Coach and Leadership Expert, she helps professionals and teams lead with purpose, build resilience, and create meaningful impact \u2013 opening doors to better leadership, wellbeing, and connection. Dr. Vilma Pacheco Barcia is the Head of Medical Oncology in Clinica La Luz, S. L., the Gastrointestinal Cancer Unit at OneOncologyMadrid and Associate Professor at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.<\/p>\n

She is a leading investigator, serving as the PI of the PANTHEIA-SEOM study group on prognostic factors and malnutrition in metastatic pancreatic cancer and the Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Oncolog\u00eda M\u00e9dica (SEOM) RESILIENCE study on burnout intervention among oncologists in Spain.<\/p>\n

Chair of SEOM\u2019s Resilience working group, Executive Committee member of SEOM\u2019s Clinical Outcomes and Practice Group, the Private Practice working group and the ESMO \u2013 European Society for Medical Oncology Resilience Task Force.\u201d<\/p>\n
