The restaurant owner said Watercare had spoken to their building manager about the incident, but there had been no further communication with the council-controlled organisation.<\/p>\n
Other businesses in the area that appear to be affected by the flooding include the Four Square, nail salon and barber on Harbour Village Drive.<\/p>\n
Clover Nail Salon and Spa posted a picture on Facebook showing its shop floor covered in dirt from the flooding.<\/p>\n
The post said the salon would be closed for cleaning.<\/p>\n

A resident said some were \u201csomething short of furious\u201d about the smell, and they believed some of the sewage might have gone into the canal because their dog was taking more of an interest in it than usual.<\/p>\n
However, it appeared no homes were affected.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Watercare head of wastewater Jon Piggot said heavy rain had impacted a nearby wastewater pump station.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast night\u2019s severe localised storm caused flooding at the Hobbs Bay wastewater pump station, damaging pump motors and affecting the station\u2019s ability to move wastewater through the network,\u201d Piggot said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTemporary pumps are operating and our crews are working to minimise overflows while the flooded area is drained, cleaned and repaired.<\/p>\n
\u201cCleanup work is underway at affected overflow points, and our team is on site to support nearby businesses.<\/p>\n
