Those numbers would have the parliamentary Opposition in a position to form a Government if they did a deal with Opportunity. <\/p>\n

The polling period was August 1-11 and has a margin of error of 3.1%. <\/p>\n

Labour leader Chris Hipkins was up one point in the preferred Prime Minister stakes to 23%, overtaking Luxon who was steady on 22%. <\/p>\n

The latest Herald-Motu Research Poll of Polls,<\/a> which does not include this poll, suggested the coalition would narrowly be able to form a Government.<\/p>\n

The model showed National polling 30.2%, one point ahead of Labour on 29.2%.
