Bunga Raya Malaysian in New Lynn. Great seafood and the woman in charge is such a character.<\/p>\n

The place to take a visitor?<\/p>\n

A beach somewhere round Auckland, there are so many, both on the east coast and the west coast.<\/p>\n

Best spot to finish a night out?<\/p>\n

In bed. My clubbing days are over.<\/p>\n

Best coffee?<\/p>\n

Thomas\u2019s Titirangi. You not only get coffee, you get the banter, the music and Thomas\u2019 singing (great voice).<\/p>\n

Favourite trail for a hike?<\/p>\n

Mercer Bay Loop track, Piha. Crazy clifftop track overlooking the Tasman Sea. Great place to see the sunset.<\/p>\n

Favourite fish and chip shop?<\/p>\n

Soul Batter Titirangi.<\/p>\n

Venue for a gig?<\/p>\n

Double Whammy. Been a groupie for the band Park Rd at this venue many a time. My middle son Tom is Park Rd\u2019s lead singer.<\/p>\n
