A 29-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were jointly charged with possession of cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, ketamine and LSD for supply.<\/p>\n

Both were granted bail.<\/p>\n

All three are due to reappear on September 1 in Hastings District Court.<\/p>\n

Detective Senior Sergeant Karli Whiu said the seizure would have a significant impact on the availability of harmful drugs in the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe combination of illicit drugs, firearms and large amounts of cash highlights the risks associated with organised crime offending.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the seizure was significant, what concerned police most was that young children were living in an environment where drugs, firearms and ammunition were present.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice will continue targeting those whose offending puts both the community and children at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police were continuing their inquiries, with further charges possible.<\/p>\n
