She detailed her 2019 health struggles in a video updating fans on her upcoming album.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of you asking where my record is at. It\u2019s done. My record\u2019s done. It\u2019s kind of been done. It\u2019s a really good record. I put a lot into it,\u201d she said in the clip.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went to England in 2019, and when I went there, my body just exploded. It just exploded, and I was in hospitals a lot,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cI almost died. I lost all my hair. I was about 100 pounds [45kg], and they told me I was going to die, and I didn\u2019t believe them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer says her distrust of doctors comes from her upbringing and her rocky relationship with her parents and the adults in her life.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I was a kid – and I think this record is about this – I used to pattern-interrupt the adults, and they\u2019d tell me \u2018red\u2019. They\u2019d say red was blue, and then I\u2019d see blue, but blue was blue,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo now that I gaslight myself that maybe, maybe they were right and red was blue, and then I would see purple, and my head would explode. Like f***ing cope with that s***, right? I think some of you can relate to that.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd then, anyway, I never really lost my ability to see that f***ing – that red was red, despite them telling me that red was blue,\u201d Love added. \u201cAnd so when they said you\u2019re gonna die, I just didn\u2019t believe them. And somehow I got better. I\u2019m healthy, which is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Love said she wrote this upcoming album while she was in and out of hospital in 2019, and at the time believed it would be her last record.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wanted to give you an update on my record . When I made it, I believed this was my last record so I made the record I always wanted to make. I was in the hospital mostly but when I wasn\u2019t all I did was write & record it,\u201d Love wrote.<\/p>\n
She added that now that she\u2019s healthy, she wants to tour and sing \u201cmore than anything\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will be back, I wasn\u2019t public about being sick. I don\u2019t want to be public about being sick.
