In one of her final interviews with parenting outlet Mom\u00e9, she discussed her experiences with a traumatic childbirth, postpartum depression and alcohol dependency.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a warrior. I\u2019m a woman who has been through more trauma than I ever thought I\u2019d face, but I\u2019m resilient,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a work in progress \u2013 we all are. I take each day as it comes. I\u2019m doing the work, and I\u2019m doing my best.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panettiere said she had turned to alcohol while struggling with undiagnosed postpartum depression.<\/p>\n

\u201cI turned to wine, which ultimately ended up leading to an alcohol dependency. It was how I would get through each day.\u201d<\/p>\n

She finished with a heartfelt message to other mums: \u201cYou\u2019re stronger than you know. And you\u2019re going to be just fine\u201d.<\/p>\n

Panettiere\u2019s death was announced today by her father Skip Panettiere, who described the loss as \u201ctragic\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her \u2013 and to the millions who watched her onscreen,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Her cause of death has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n

She is survived by her daughter, Kaya, 11, whom she had with former fiance, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.<\/p>\n

Kaya has lived with her father since the couple split in 2018.<\/p>\n

As she promoted her memoir, Panettiere spoke candidly about her life and struggles away from the screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt nothing,\u201d Panettiere told Mom\u00e9 of her depression after Kaya\u2019s birth. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now I had to figure out how to bond with her. It seemed like an impossible task.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had always heard that moms feel an instant rush of love, but I didn\u2019t \u2013 and I had no idea why.\u201d<\/p>\n

On July 27, she shared what would become her final Instagram post, a black-and-white photograph of her smiling with friend and photographer Randall Slavin.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood times and good friends,\u201d she captioned the image.<\/p>\n

The post has since drawn messages from friends, fellow actors and fans.<\/p>\n

Selma Blair shared her grief in comments on Panettiere\u2019s most recent Instagram post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you. Don\u2019t be gone. Don\u2019t be gone. Please. Please,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Eleven minutes later, she added: \u201cI love you whale tail my friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slavin also returned to the photograph after her death, sharing a brief tribute to his friend: \u201cPeace be with you, H\u201d.<\/p>\n

Panettiere\u2019s first on-screen appearance was in a commercial in 1990 aged just 11 months old, launching a decades-long Hollywood career<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She was best known for playing Claire Bennet in the hit series Heroes and Juliette Barnes in the musical drama Nashville.<\/p>\n

Her film credits included Remember the Titans, Raising Helen, Ice Princess and Scream 4.<\/p>\n
