Many people are concerned about nut particles in the air, with a number of stories online about such incidents.<\/p>\n
In 2014, 4-year-old Fae Platten nearly died after a passenger opened a packet of nuts several rows behind her, reported the Telegraph. An EpiPen saved her life.<\/p>\n
The only issue? The reaction to airborne nut particles is believed to largely be a myth on planes.<\/p>\n
Tim Spector, professor of genetic epidemiology at King\u2019s College London, argues medical studies show aircraft ventilation systems filter out heavy peanut dust particles.<\/p>\n
