Williams, one of Hollywood\u2019s most beloved comedians and actors, died on August 11, 2014, aged 63.<\/p>\n
His death shocked the entertainment world and sparked an outpouring of tributes from fellow actors, comedians and world leaders. Authorities later ruled his death a suicide.<\/p>\n
In the years after his death, his widow, Susan Schneider Williams, revealed he had been battling Lewy body dementia, a progressive neurological disease that affected his cognition, mood and physical health in the final months of his life.<\/p>\n
