Asked what advice she could give to those vying for their own shot in the industry, Davis replied: \u201cDon\u2019t let anyone tell you that you can\u2019t do or be anything that you want to do or be.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all grow up just with lies from the world telling us that we all have limitations, and none of us do. <\/p>\n

\u201cOur only limitations are the things that we think are limiting us. You can do anything and be anybody, and don\u2019t apologise for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis revealed her diagnosis in a candid Instagram post on August 11<\/a>, explaining she had kept the news private for 18 months after doctors discovered a \u201creally tiny\u201d lump \u2013 that she described as more like a \u201chard spot\u201d \u2013 in early 2025.<\/p>\n

With the cancer found to have metastasised to her bones (specifically her spine, right hip and ribs), Davis was told it was too late for chemotherapy and the disease was being treated as \u201cincurable\u201d.<\/p>\n

While Davis said she was increasingly struggling to stay mobile and occasionally uses a wheelchair, she is now \u201cat peace\u201d with her situation and hopes to live out her remaining time in the \u201cmost fun way\u201d possible.<\/p>\n

Several famous friends and former colleagues \u2013 including Ricky Gervais, Sarah Paulson and Jenna Fischer \u2013 shared messages of support for Davis<\/a> following the news.<\/p>\n
