Halloran and Teece were getting their children, Aria, 9 and Isla, 6, ready for bed when a headache turned into a medical emergency within seconds. <\/p>\n

\u201cJessie came in and said she had a really bad headache, and she\u2019s like, \u2018I think you need to take me to the doctor\u2019,\u201d Halloran said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen she\u2019s like, \u2018actually, I think you need to call me an ambulance. I think I\u2019m having a stroke\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of a sudden, she just lay back down onto our bed and started moaning and groaning, turned into screaming.\u201d <\/p>\n

Halloran was on the phone with emergency staff who gave him instructions, such as getting her to lift her arm. <\/p>\n

He said his eldest daughter was very brave and took her younger sister to a faraway room. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe kept coming back to check, and I just said, \u2018It\u2019s okay, go and look after your sister\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teece then began \u201cvomiting everywhere\u201d and stopped communicating as the situation rapidly deteriorated within just 10 minutes. <\/p>\n

An ambulance arrived and staff acted quickly to \u201cknock her out\u201d, and a breathing apparatus was put down her throat before they set off on the 45-minute journey to the hospital, he said. <\/p>\n

Halloran said they arrived at the hospital after 11pm. <\/p>\n

\u201cI thought I was going to lose her. Like that\u2019s what the doctors were pretty much saying to us. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re like, this is a massive bleed. We actually don\u2019t know if she\u2019s going to make it.\u201d <\/p>\n

Halloran left the hospital at about 3.30am and was forced to endure a sleepless night, thinking he would never see his partner again. <\/p>\n

\u2018She\u2019s stable now\u2019<\/p>\n

Halloran said he awoke to some incredible news when he arrived at the hospital and was told Teece was in a stable condition. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just a total relief, but in the same sense, it was still touch and go,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

On Monday morning, she was taken for an operation to stop the bleeding and is now on the mend. <\/p>\n

He said his youngest daughter doesn\u2019t fully understand what happened, but knows her \u201cmama\u2019s very, very sick\u201d. <\/p>\n

He said Teece now must get through the next 14 to 21 days without any major setbacks to be in the \u201csafe zone\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just a roller coaster of going to have good days, going to have bad days,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe might end up back in ICU. She might need another operation. The doctors and the specialists, they just don\u2019t know because the brain\u2019s such a delicate organ … they just can\u2019t reassure you.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said she remained in good spirits and has still had her humour. <\/p>\n

He was extremely grateful that Teece was not driving or alone at the time of the aneurysm.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wouldn\u2019t have been able to get help. She would have just been, yeah, there by herself,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe probably would have just passed away.\u201d<\/p>\n
