\u201cI was in London to do The Chase Around the World, and I thought I saw Hayley at St Pancras Station.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately, it was one of those times where there was a car waiting for me, so I couldn\u2019t sprint after her. I sent her a message saying, \u2018Have I just seen you?\u2019 and she replied saying, \u2018Why didn\u2019t you come and talk to me?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cWe met for lunch, and it became obvious that we\u2019d missed each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
The brainbox won Palmer back with Nando\u2019s meals, bingo dates and a \u00a3700 ($1600) pair of Christian Louboutin heels.<\/p>\n
And he has even hinted that marriage could be on the cards, saying: \u201cThe first person that is going to find out about that is Hayley\u201d.<\/p>\n
The couple first got together in May 2023 after the star and ex-wife Katie Labbett\u2019s attempts at an open marriage failed.<\/p>\n
But Labbett and Palmer\u2019s romance ended a year later, with the latter claiming that he had dumped her because he \u201cdidn\u2019t want to divorce his ex-wife\u201d.<\/p>\n
He later told the Sun that their separation was because he had \u201cgot old\u201d.<\/p>\n
Palmer struggled with the split, telling BANG Showbiz last August that she had hit \u201crock bottom\u201d and sought counselling before turning the \u201cpain\u201d into \u201cpower\u201d through affirmations and EFT tapping, eventually helping her to feel like a \u201cnew person\u201d.<\/p>\n
The blonde beauty described Labbett\u2019s unexpected text after their two-year split as a \u201csliding doors\u201d moment.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI don\u2019t know if I was in St Pancras at the time, but I\u2019m always in Kings Cross, so when I got the message from him, I was like, \u2018Oh my gosh, that\u2019s crazy.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI messaged back saying, \u2018You should have said hello.\u2019 Then we were just texting a little bit, then Mark said, \u2018Oh well, I\u2019m filming The Chase Around the World, and I\u2019m coming back to St Pancras and we should meet for lunch.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had two years apart, and it\u2019s funny because during that time those emotions go and now we\u2019re the best version of ourselves, and we\u2019re all about looking after each other and just being respectful to each other and having a nice time together.\u201d<\/p>\n
Labbett \u2014 who has joined Palmer for fitness swimming sessions \u2014 <\/p>\n
said: \u201cHayley\u2019s in the best shape I think I\u2019ve ever seen as she looks ridiculously fit!<\/p>\n
\u201cI stabilised at about 20 stone [127kg], but then I\u2019ve definitely lost a bit of weight since we\u2019ve been dating.\u201d<\/p>\n
Labbett said: \u201cI\u2019m in reasonable shape. There is a drawback to being this tall and this heavy, so I\u2019m just enjoying it while we can and making sure we have as good a time as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple are keeping their rekindled romance low-key.<\/p>\n
\u201cHayley has discovered a new passion in her life and that\u2019s bingo. I do a lot of work with Buzz Bingo at the moment, which involves gigs up and down the country, and Hayley has started to come and see me while I\u2019m there.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe gets really upset when she\u2019s like one or two numbers away and says, \u2018Why aren\u2019t they calling my number?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cThe major thing now is we\u2019ve just gone on with it. We\u2019re not trying to hide it. We\u2019re just not bothering to be a big issue. We wouldn\u2019t bother going on Loose Women or anything.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not trying to keep it secret. We\u2019re just basically \u2026 getting on with our life.\u201d<\/p>\n
The reunion comes after Palmer insisted that she and Labbett had put their split behind them and were now good pals.<\/p>\n
Last November, she said: \u201cThings are in the past now, we\u2019re good mates, and we\u2019re just happy to do it. And like I say, that\u2019s all pushed to one side, and it\u2019s a year-and-a-half ago, and we\u2019ve always got on well.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re friends, we\u2019re both doing our jobs, and we both want to make it a huge success, which I absolutely know it will be.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the time, Palmer was preparing to interview Labbett for a special An Audience With … show at London\u2019s Hippodrome Casino on January 26, but the event was later cancelled after he pulled out because of \u201cunforeseen circumstances\u201d.<\/p>\n
She had also said they had no plans to dwell on their romance during the show.<\/p>\n
Asked if they would discuss their relationship, Palmer said: \u201cLike I say, we just want to move on from that. I\u2019m sure people want to come along because they\u2019re quite fascinated that an ex is interviewing an ex.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut, ultimately, we\u2019re friends, and Mark is absolutely brilliant at what he does. He is a genius, and I salute him for that \u2014 I\u2019m in awe of what he does, I think he is phenomenal, and I want to put him in the best light possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
