A gym bunny, she can start ticking off some more goals, with Hyrox fitness racing in November, comprising eight 1km runs with functional exercise stops at fitness stations along the way.<\/p>\n
But rule out a marathon. <\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t like long runs,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pretty lucky – I had a pretty good diagnosis from the get-go,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She emphasises a big part of the fight has been attitude, research and eating the right nutrients.<\/p>\n
Still requiring occasional checks \u2013 more monthly than daily, she said: \u201cFood is medicine\u201d.<\/p>\n
Besides, she wants to be a strong mum.<\/p>\n
Her husband Blair said he was stunned by the number of people facing the plight, and is now well aware of the battles they\u2019ve all faced.<\/p>\n
\u201cSarah\u2019s been very diligent,\u201d he said, as another customer appeared with well wishes at the cafe. \u201cThere have been hard days, but she\u2019s always been positive.\u201d<\/p>\n
