Furious (Hulu, Monday, season one finale) The neo-noir moodiness and dark humor of this Liz Meriwether<\/a>-created psychological thriller have been a surprise treat of the summer streaming season. Its tense cat-and-mouse chase between traumatized FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) and calculating serial killer Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew) comes to an end in this week\u2019s eighth and final episode\u2014or does it? Hulu has renewed the hit crime thriller for a second season<\/a>, so there\u2019s even more murderous territory to come. Look out for The A.V. Club\u2019s finale recap on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n Chad Powers (Hulu, Thursday, season two premiere) No matter how tightly those prosthetics are glued on, Russ Holliday\u2019s secret identity is slipping up in season two of the Glen Powell-led sports comedy. Across six episodes (which all drop on Hulu on September 3), \u201cChad\u201d will have to navigate increasing suspicions from the likes of Coach Hudson (Steve Zahn) and rival quarterback Gerry (Colton Ryan), all while leading the South Georgia Catfish toward the College Football Playoff. He\u2019ll find help both on and off the field from an unlikely source: Ricky (Perry Mattfield), the coach\u2019s daughter.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Gentlemen (Netflix, Thursday, season two premiere) Season two of this Guy Ritchie action-comedy picks up with Theo James\u2019s Eddie Horniman\u00a0 expanding the weed empire he inherited at the end of season one. He\u2019s no longer a cog in the criminal machine, instead working overseas alongside Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario) and dealing with Bobby\u2019s (Ray Winstone) increasingly erratic business choices. While bringing their groovy enterprise from the English countryside to northern Italy, Eddie is pulled into the ruthless orbit of Italian crime boss Marco Moretti (Sergio Castellitto) and his savvy fixer Cico Maldini (Michele Morrone), and soon he\u2019ll really see the dangers of his ambition. The A.V. Club\u2019s season two review arrives on Thursday.<\/p>\n Scary Movie<\/a> (2026)\u00a0 (Paramount+, Thursday, streaming premiere) It\u2019s been 13 years since the last Scary Movie installment, and even longer since the best part of the franchise\u2014that would be Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell and Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks\u2014took part in the horror-comedy fun.
