\n\tSony\u2019s superhero blockbuster \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>\u201d held the top position at the U.K. and Ireland box office for a fifth consecutive weekend, generating \u00a32.7 million ($3.7 million). <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film has collected $125.5 million after 27 days on release.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s epic \u201cThe Odyssey<\/a>,\u201d directed by Christopher Nolan, maintained second place in its seventh week on release, adding $3.2 million. The performance advanced the feature\u2019s running total to $107.6 million. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cInsidious: Out of the Further<\/a>,\u201d distributed by Sony, secured third place in its sophomore frame, collecting $1.8 million to lift its cume to $6.6 million. Altitude\u2019s live-action animation hybrid \u201cCoyote vs. Acme<\/a>\u201d claimed fourth position in its second frame with $1.4 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s post-apocalyptic drama \u201cThe Dog Stars,\u201d starring Jacob Elordi and Josh Brolin, debuted in fifth place with an opening frame of $1.4 million. Warner Bros.\u2019 \u201cThe End of Oak Street\u201d followed in sixth place during its third session, adding $892,214 to raise its running total to $8.1 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 25th anniversary re-issue of \u201cHarry Potter and the Philosopher\u2019s Stone\u201d landed in seventh place, taking $707,194 over the frame. Paramount\u2019s \u201cPaw Patrol: The Dino Movie\u201d placed eighth in its fourth week with $687,476, moving its total to $7.3 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cOne Night Only\u201d opened in ninth position with $678,910. Disney rounded out the top 10 with Pixar\u2019s \u201cToy Story 5,\u201d which collected $647,952 in its 11th week of release to advance its running total to $77.6 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn specialized release, Mubi\u2019s \u201cTeenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma,\u201d directed by Jane Schoenbrun, delivered a resilient second weekend, generating $186,113 across the Friday-to-Sunday frame and $248,459 across the full four-day bank holiday weekend. That performance propelled the film\u2019s cumulative gross to $981,195. The release registered a slim 39% drop, achieving the joint-best hold of any wide or saturation release from the prior session alongside \u201cInsidious: Out of the Further.\u201d Light House Cinema in Dublin ranked as the top-grossing site for the title, followed by Glasgow Film Theatre, Picturehouse Central, Rio Dalston, and Curzon Soho, with the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton registering a 3% increase over its launch weekend. The theatrical run continues with 35mm presentations at Watershed Bristol and Everyman\u2019s Screen on the Green. Beyond the U.K. and Ireland, Mubi has rolled the picture out across North America, Latin America, Italy, Germany, and Austria.<\/p>\n

\n\tLooking ahead to the upcoming theatrical frame, mid-week event programming kicked off on Wednesday Sept. 2 with CinemaLive rolling out \u201cLa Traviata on Sydney Harbour 2021\u201d alongside concert film \u201cKaty Perry: The Lifetimes Tour \u2013 Live from Paris,\u201d followed by Dreamz Entertainment\u2019s Telugu-language rom-com \u201cRomanchakam.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWide debuts across 300+ locations are led by True Brit Entertainment\u2019s \u201cThe Death of Robin Hood,\u201d directed by Michael Sarnoski and starring Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, and Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd, alongside Neon\u2019s supernatural horror \u201cLeviticus,\u201d directed by Adrian Chiarella. Specialized, international, and catalog offerings opening the same day include Kent Jones\u2019 \u201cLate Fame\u201d via BFI Distribution across 100+ locations, Aardman\u2019s \u201cShaun the Sheep: Farmageddon,\u201d Studiocanal\u2019s 35th anniversary reissue of \u201cTerminator 2: Judgment Day,\u201d Super Nature\u2019s \u201cThe Incomer,\u201d and limited rollouts for \u201cFall,\u201d \u201cGail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass,\u201d and 40th anniversary screenings of \u201cStar Trek IV: The Voyage Home.\u201d Lionsgate is also returning the \u201cHunger Games\u201d franchise to cinemas with re-releases spanning \u201cThe Hunger Games,\u201d \u201cThe Hunger Games: Catching Fire,\u201d both installments of \u201cThe Hunger Games: Mockingjay,\u201d and \u201cThe Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.\u201d<\/p>\n
