Prince Harry has reportedly gone behind his brother’s back and reached out directly to Princess Kate<\/a> in a bid to mend fractured relationships. That is according to one source, who said Harry is keen to become friends once again with his sister-in-law, with whom he was once rather close. However, William is a major hurdle in the way of Harry building back up a relationship with the family, as the future King reportedly refuses to speak with his younger brother<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A source has told Closer<\/a> that, in light of William not having any desire to speak with Harry, the latter has gone straight to Princess Kate to try to mend their own rift. “She\u2019s the gatekeeper to so many things,” the source said. “If, God forbid, something is wrong with Charles, or they need to communicate about something without bothering the King directly, she\u2019s the most straightforward path.”<\/p>\n

“He hates to put her in the middle, but he says he doesn\u2019t feel like he has any other choice because William is continuing to be so stubborn, and he says he knows Kate will be a lot more reasonable,” they added.<\/p>\n

“He still has a lot of respect for her, and he misses her and says he\u2019s looking forward to getting some sort of relationship with her back on track,\u2019 the source says.<\/p>\n

“People are warning him that this will not go over well with William, but Harry doesn\u2019t seem to care. He says he\u2019s done tiptoeing around his brother and he\u2019s going to do what needs to be done.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s looking forward to striking up a dialogue with Kate and finding a path forward, particularly if they\u2019re going to bring the children together, which of course is inevitable.”<\/p>\n

The insider added that the situation between William and Harry is going to be “tough for Kate”, as the Princess “has to be very conscious of not upsetting William”.<\/p>\n

“But when Harry calls, it\u2019s hard to imagine that she\u2019s going to ghost him or refuse to pick up,” they added. “Fact is, she does miss him.<\/p>\n

“She\u2019s certainly not going to conspire with Harry against William, but it\u2019s very likely she will want to hear what he has to say.
