Photo \/ Rosalie Liddle Crawford<\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThey are a testament to the incredible stories happening all around us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">Tulloch said McIndoe was an excellent tour guide at The Elms, and he had done a lot of its remedial building work. <\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cAt the age of 65 or 70 he did a bachelor\u2019s degree in history, and he\u2019s an interesting man with a great brain. <\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cWhenever a tour bus comes to The Elms, Wayne likes to be at the chapel dressed up very much like a clergyman. <\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cI took the photo because I admire him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img  alt=\" Second runner-up Karen Moffatt-McLeod with her photo of her father. Photo \/ Rosalie Liddle Crawford<\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">Western Bay of Plenty Mayor James Denyer, who also attended the launch of the festival at Herrie\u2019s Park on the Tauranga waterfront enjoyed seeing a photograph taken at Waih\u012b Beach by photographer Ben Haarmann.<\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThe festival\u2019s a great celebration of older people,\u201d Denyer said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"brdZfQpMhqMp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThe photographs are from everyday life, but some of them are doing surfing at Waih\u012b Beach which is incredible. I know the photographer, he comes from Katikati.
