Pop icon Selena Gomez has officially offloaded her sprawling Encino abode in Los Angeles for $5.399 million—four months after listing the property and shortly after picking up a $35 million marital mansion.

The 34-year-old singer and actress purchased the six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom dwelling for $4.89 million in 2020, around three years before she began dating Benny Blanco, 38, whom she wed in September 2025.

However, after she and her husband snapped up a new, much larger Beverly Hills dwelling for $35 million in February 2025, it seemed Gomez no longer needed her former bachelorette pad, which spans nearly 11,500 square feet and sits on just under an acre.

Gomez’s ownership of the dwelling was mentioned in the listing—which also noted that the property was formerly home to another music legend, Tom Petty, who had the home custom built in 1989 and owned it until 2017, when it was sold just a few months before his death.

Before Gomez purchased the property six years ago, it underwent a meticulous renovation and is now described as a “private celebrity compound” that “evokes a magical vision of romance, inspiration, and tranquility.”

“Formerly home to music icon Tom Petty and superstar Selena Gomez, this spectacular estate offers distinctive architecture crafted with exceptional attention to detail and the finest quality,” the listing added.

The five-bedroom mansion with soaring ceilings and a gourmet kitchen features a rockin’ lower level that includes a wine cellar, gym, massage room, creative work area, kitchen, vocal booth, den, and guest suite.

Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with an expansive living area that features a chic fireplace.

“The front entry opens to the living room, immediately setting the stage with sophisticated architecture and soaring ceilings. The home includes a family room, formal dining room, and a sprawling kitchen,” the listing read.

“The main level features a spectacular primary suite, complemented by an upper-level second primary suite and four additional bedroom suites,” added the listing.

The kitchen is certainly the crown jewel of the home thanks to its marble countertops, island, and brick stove.

Heading to the lower level, guests will see a wine cellar, gym, massage room, office, glam room, a kitchen, and a vocal booth, which is thought to have been part of Petty’s original recording studio—and will likely have served as the perfect place for Gomez to write her latest hits.

Gomez’s personal touches are still visible in several rooms of the house, although listing images show that it has been completely cleared of all her personal belongings, including a fun floral wallpaper that has been added to an area of the glam room.

There is also a sizable home movie theater that, in a not-so-subtle nod to the property’s celebrity owner, was photographed with a video of Gomez performing flashed up on the screen.

Outside the property is just as luxurious, with numerous entertaining areas spread around the grounds, as well as a stunning swimming pool and spa that provides the perfect place to relax.

“The idyllic exterior grounds include a cabana with bar, fire pit, al fresco dining area, and a cascading waterfall and stream flowing into the pool and spa. Here is your chance to live amongst the stars,” the listing read.

While the home served as Gomez’s primary residence for several years, she and her husband have since moved on to an even splashier dwelling.

Prior to being purchased by Gomez and Blanco, the property was owned by a famous Hollywood director, according to TMZ, which first reported the news of the sale.

When the singer and her fiancé bought the home, it marked one of the priciest sales in the area in 2024.

The Spanish-inspired, opulent pad features a spiral staircase and library. Outside the mansion, there is a fitness center, pool, and a glass greenhouse solarium, which is a nod to Blanco’s green thumb; the singer has been known to use his garden to give back to the community.

The property is surrounded by lush landscaping and features sophisticated stone flooring encompassing the pool.

Gomez and Blanco purchased the property in an off-market deal that was carried out via an LLC that is associated with the music producer’s business manager.

The property was last sold in August 2021, when it was picked up for $30.7 million.

At the time, it was described in its listing as a “true masterwork” and a “perfect combination of authentic details, fine craftsmanship, and the best modern amenities.”

The listing noted that the home featured an array of different living spaces, including a “fairytale playroom” and a “sensational living room.”

Gomez recently shared a glimpse inside the couple’s martial home, revealing that they have focused on incorporating color into the property with vibrant shelves and blue cabinets in their kitchen.

She also shared a photo of the backyard, revealing that it comes complete with lush greenery and a rose-covered patio.

Pop icon Selena Gomez has officially offloaded her sprawling Encino abode in Los Angeles for $5.399 million—four months…

[32
2003,22601,430,156,111,139,69,814,1999,128901
post-595142","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-celebrities","tag-benny-blanco","tag-beverly-hills","tag-celebrities","tag-entertainment","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz","tag-property","tag-selena-gomez","tag-tom-petty
["GET
