Photo \/ Branson Family<\/p>\n<p class=\"eYVVqkRVmn\" style=\"display:none\">Branson had a history of blood clots dating to 2018 and had received injections of anti-clotting medication during flights and earlier hospital admissions, the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"eYVVqkRVmn\" style=\"display:none\">Haematologist Dr George Adams described Branson as \u201cextremely high risk\u201d of developing blood clots. <\/p>\n<p class=\"eYVVqkRVmn\" style=\"display:none\">He said the \u201cbiggest risk factor by far was her immobility and her fracture\u201d, the BBC reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"eYVVqkRVmn\" style=\"display:none\">Branson received no preventive anticoagulation between admission and death. The inquest also heard that admitting doctor Dr Basir Kunduzi did not complete a bleeding-risk assessment when she entered the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"eYVVqkRVmn\" style=\"display:none\">Kunduzi said her death had prompted him to \u201creflect on my role as a doctor\u201d and on the importance of \u201cgood communication between team members\u201d, the BBC reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"eYVVqkRVmn\" style=\"display:none\">Wilcox stressed that the circumstances did not amount to neglect, saying it was \u201cnot a case of neglect\u201d and there \u201cwasn\u2019t an absence of treatment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img  alt=\"British entrepreneur Richard Branson pictured with his partner, then Joan Templeman, in 1985.
