The staff for Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke<\/a>, the new television anime<\/a> of Miya Kazuki<\/a>‘s Ascendance of a Bookworm (Honzuki no Gekokuj\u014d – Shisho ni Naru Tame niwa Shudan o Erandeiramasen<\/a>) light novel series, announced on Saturday that Kaede Hondo<\/a> will join the cast as the character Charlotte. The anime’s website revealed a climax promotional video for the anime.<\/p>\n

The anime premiered<\/a> on April 4 on the Yomiuri TV<\/a> and NTV<\/a> channels at 5:30 p.m. JST (4:30 a.m. EDT). The anime is airing across two consecutive cours<\/a>\u00a0for a half-year run. Crunchyroll<\/a> is streaming<\/a> the anime with English subtitles and an English dub<\/a>. adieu (actress Moka Kamishiraishi<\/a>‘s singing stage name) performs<\/a> the new ending theme song for the anime’s second cours\u00a0(quarters of the year) titled “Wanna me.” \u00a0Kana Nishino<\/a> performs the anime’s opening<\/a> theme song “Power of Love.” \u00a0<\/p>\n

Yuka Iguchi<\/a> and Show Hayami<\/a> return in the new series as Rozemyne (previously Myne) and Ferdinand, respectively. The anime’s new cast members include:<\/p>\n

Yoshiaki Iwasaki<\/a> (Kowloon Generic Romance<\/a>, Hayate the Combat Butler<\/a>, We Never Learn: BOKUBEN<\/a>) is directing the new series at Wit Studio<\/a>, replacing the franchise<\/a>‘s previous director Mitsuru Hong\u014d<\/a>. Mariko Kunisawa<\/a> returns to write the series scripts, and Aiko Minowa<\/a> (After the Rain<\/a>, The Ancient Magus’ Bride<\/a> in-between animation) is the new character designer. MICHIRU<\/a> returns to compose the music.<\/p>\n

Little Glee Monster<\/a> performs the first part’s opening theme song “Pages.” Nogizaka46<\/a> member Erika Ikuta<\/a> performs the first part’s ending theme song “Ima mo, Arigat\u014d” (Even Now, I Thank You).<\/p>\n

The first anime season premiered<\/a> in October 2019, and ended in December 2019 with 14 episodes. The second<\/a> season premiered in Japan in April 2020. The anime’s third season premiered<\/a> in April 2022. Crunchyroll streamed all three seasons as they aired.<\/p>\n

Kazuki began<\/a> the original novels on the “Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d” website in 2013, and ended the web novel in 2017. You Shiina<\/a> illustrates the print edition. The main series ended<\/a> with its 33rd volume (volume 12 of part 5) in December 2023. The novel series now has over 13 million copies in circulation (including digital copies).<\/p>\n

J-Novel Club<\/a> is releasing<\/a> both<\/a> the light novels and some of the various manga adaptations in English.<\/p>\n
