Charli XCX<\/a> has responded to criticism of her upcoming \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019<\/a> UK and Europe tour having only six dates.<\/p>\n

Charli recently announced the arena tour, which is set to kick off in 2027 <\/a>with Audrey Hobert<\/a>\u00a0joining at all dates as a special guest opener. Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST next Friday (September 18) \u2013\u00a0you\u2019ll be able to buy yours here<\/a> \u2013 and you can see a full list of dates here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tour only has six dates, with Charli heading to Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris next February, leading some fans to be disappointed that there were not further shows in other European countries.<\/p>\n

Charli has now responded, writing on Instagram: \u201cI know there\u2019s a lot of frustration in the comments about the fact that I am not doing lots of dates. I am really sorry if you feel disappointed but I have to honor my truth as an artist: touring is really emotionally and physically hard for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not looking for sympathy and I have a huge amount of respect for artists who can handle it at an intense, lengthy and high octane level, but I am just not one of those human beings and I never have been,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The \u2018365\u2019 singer went on to say that this was also the reason she chose to do a shorter run on her current North American tour<\/a>, which kicked off in Philadelphia last night<\/a> (September 11).<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry if you feel I am letting you down; I really am. Perhaps one day I will be built for the kind of touring you expect from me but right now I am not,\u201d she added. \u201cIf you\u2019re coming to a show I hope you have fun and enjoy it, and I will try my best to stay in a healthy and positive mindset and enjoy it too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charli opened up about her struggles with her mental health back in June<\/a>, saying she was \u201cin the worst place mentally that I\u2019ve been in my life\u201d and that her \u201cemotions are very, very volatile at the minute, I\u2019ll be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month saw\u00a0Charli headline Reading & Leeds 2026<\/a> off the back of the album. In\u00a0a four-star review<\/a>,\u00a0NME\u00a0described her Reading slot as \u201ca stylish, cinematic, but sometimes underwhelming performance\u201d. It reasoned that the early set time was \u201cunfortunate\u201d for the singer, who \u201cthrives in the dark\u201d. The review went on to praise the \u201cincredibly powerful ending\u201d, concluding: \u201cIf only the whole set could have landed quite as hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0Charli has released a limited number of $25 (\u00a318.50) \u2018Angel Tickets\u2019 for her North American tour<\/a>. The seats are selected at random and could include limited view, lower and upper levels, as well as GA Floor.<\/p>\n

In other news,\u00a0the pop star has been nominated for two MTV VMAs<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Best Pop and Best Art Direction \u2013 for her recent single\u00a0\u2018SS26\u2019<\/a>. Earlier this summer,\u00a0she joined The Strokes on stage at Outside Lands to perform \u2018Take It Or Leave It\u2019<\/a>, and\u00a0teamed up with Lorde at Lollapalooza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charli XCX \u201cbegrudgingly\u201d released the B-sides for \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019<\/a>\u00a0in July, and\u00a0shared the album\u2019s accompanying live film<\/a>.<\/p>\n
