Lodestone Energy\u2019s vertically integrated business model brings together solar farm development, construction management, operations and maintenance, electricity generation and retail capability.<\/p>\n
Managing director Gary Holden said Lodestone Energy saw a significant opportunity as New Zealand\u2019s demand for electricity continued to increase.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur vision is to build a solar farm in every community and develop Lodestone Energy into a vertically integrated gentailer capable of serving customers across New Zealand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have built the foundations of the business and our focus now is on continuing to build solar farms, adding customers and steadily growing the amount of renewable electricity we supply.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the IPO proceeds, the capital raised is intended to support the construction of additional solar farms, expansion of our customer base and general corporate purposes.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would also provide investors with an opportunity to participate in Lodestone Energy\u2019s ambition to build a nationwide solar generation and retail business.\u201d<\/p>\n
In July, Lodestone said construction<\/a> of one of New Zealand\u2019s biggest solar energy projects had moved a step closer under the fast-track planning process.<\/p>\n Lodestone Energy said its Haldon Solar Farm, in the Mackenzie Basin, received a positive decision under the Fast-track Approvals Act, which is aimed at expediting approval for major infrastructure and development projects.<\/p>\n Founded in 2019, Lodestone is the country\u2019s first utility-scale solar generation company.<\/p>\n It is majority New Zealand-owned through private equity partnerships including Jarden Principal Investments, Purpose Capital, Tauhara North No.2 Trust, the Accident Compensation Corporation, K1W1 and Pathfinder.<\/p>\n
