CM Vijay attended the event as a special guest and officially started the race in front of a 44-car grid. Actor Ajit Kumar took part in the race in the LMP3 Pro\/Am category. The event brought two of Tamil Nadu\u2018s biggest film stars into the spotlight. The Silverstone round was the fifth race of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans cup season. The championship had earlier announced his appearance as a special guest. He joined the event to support Indian drivers taking part in the race. The race was held on Silverstone\u2019s 5.891 km Grand Prix circuit. It was the fifth round of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans cup season. According to the latest sports news,<\/a> actor and racer, Ajit Kumar competed at Silverstone in the LMP3 Pro\/Am category. He raced for Ajith RedAnt by Virage and shared the Ligier JSP325-Toyota prototype with French driver Romain Vozniak. Former formula 1 drivers, Narain Karthikeyan and Aditya Patel, also competed for Ajith RedAnt racing in the LMP3 category.\n<\/p>\n Vijay\u2019s Motor Sports City Plan In Tamil Nadu<\/p>\n Tamil Nadu chief minister C. Joseph Vijay also announced plans to build a new motor sports city in the state. The project is planned for the Chennai Metropolitan area. It is expected to have an international-standard racing circuit that could host Formula 1,<\/a> Formula 2, Formula 3 and Formula 4 events. The motorsports city is also planned to support young racing talent and promote sports tourism in Tamil Nadu.
