\u201cYou are entitled to be here,\u201d the judge explained. \u201cI do not want to close this court. If you want to see what happens, you\u2019ll have to be able to calm yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Justice Wilkinson-Smith took not guilty pleas to two counts of murder through defence lawyer Bradley Moyer and set a trial date for September next year before remanding the defendant back into custody. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s enough,\u201d the judge told the gallery, as verbal abuse erupted as the defendant left the dock. <\/p>\n

She ordered the court cleared, but those in attendance for the appearance were already leaving. <\/p>\n

Outside the courtroom, the crowd of onlookers could be heard yelling at each other: \u201cGet f***ed\u201d and \u201cF*** you\u201d.<\/p>\n

Police found Bell and Rudolph dead at a Gambare Place property in Wattle Downs on August 27. Authorities had received reports of a person armed with a handgun at the property. <\/p>\n

Both deceased had fatal gunshot wounds, authorities later reported. <\/p>\n

\u201cI can confirm we are speaking with a 30-year-old man who is currently in custody,\u201d Detective Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Va\u2019aelua said in a statement to the media the day after the shooting. <\/p>\n

The man was charged with two counts of murder four days later. <\/p>\n

The defendant\u2019s name was suppressed at his first appearance in Manukau District Court earlier this month. <\/p>\n

Tributes for the victims have been posted online describing Rudolph as a \u201cbeautiful soul been taken too soon\u201d and \u201cso talented, funny and straight up\u201d. <\/p>\n

Bell grew up in M\u0101ngere, where one mourner described him as \u201cmischief, sporty and a cool bro in our youngin\/ teenager days\u201d. <\/p>\n
