Taylor Swift is known for bringing her celeb friends as +1s to Chiefs games, but no one could have expected Tom Cruise to show up in her suite during the first game of the season. The pair was seen having a lengthy conversation about…infrastructure (? the lip-readers tried their best, but), and apparently people have questions. Like: how do these two even know each other, and what—if anything—are they cooking up for fans?

A source tells the Daily Mail that Tom and Taylor became friends after he went to the Eras Tour in London: “Since then, they’ve got close. They hang out together when they’re in the same city. On the surface they seem like they’re worlds apart, but they’re really not. They have so much in common and they both get what they each have to deal with in life. Taylor learns so much from talking to him, and Tom loves seeing everything she does and appreciates her artistry.”

Tom has since formed a close friendship with Travis Kelce, who “is also a huge fan of Tom’s action movies. Tom’s a big football fan. That’s really what brought Tom into Taylor’s world. He knew Travis, but it was kind of from afar. They’ve now become good buddies.”

As for any incoming collabs, a source says that Tom “may” give Travis “a role in Days of Thunder 2, which would be a great fit,” and could—potentially/grain of salt—lead to an original Taylor song.

“Their conversations were pretty innocent, but it’s almost impossible for business not to come up,” the source said. “It wouldn’t be surprising if their friendship eventually became a business collaboration, with her potentially recording a song for Days Of Thunder, which was brought up in the box on Monday night.”

Meanwhile, Tom’s gearing up for his film Digger, while Tay had an original song in Toy Story. Per the source, “They might both find themselves nominated for an Oscar early next year, so don’t be surprised when this friendship turns into something awesome professionally for them both.”

[32
430,225243,2115,297312,2117,156,207184,2462,111,139,69,166271,297311,251090,147908
post-603392","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-celebrities","tag-celebrities","tag-collection-taylor-swift","tag-content-type-news","tag-contentid-1577b74f-8be8-4329-82b1-4763d1df2710","tag-displaytype-standard-article","tag-entertainment","tag-issyndicated-false","tag-locale-us","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz","tag-read_time-2","tag-shorttitle-what-are-tom-cruise-and-taylor-swift-cooking-up","tag-sponsored-false","tag-subsection-celebs
["GET
