Radio star Jay-Jay Feeney is selling her stylish Auckland home<\/a> for just under $1.2 million.<\/p>\n

The broadcaster listed the two-bedroom apartment at 415\/59 France Street South, Eden Terrace, this week after telling her Instagram followers that she had already made an offer on a new place.<\/p>\n

Pointing to boxes piled around the living room and bedrooms ahead of the home-stagers arriving, she told her fans: \u201cI\u2019m packing up to move house; I\u2019m feeling a bit ragged. All my cupboards are still full, and my office is still full.\u201d<\/p>\n

The listing for the apartment, which is with agent Nigel King of Uptown Apartments, highlights its luxury features.<\/p>\n

The apartment has views of Auckland CBD and the Sky Tower, and boasts an industrial finish \u201cwith exposed services, concrete ceiling and concrete feature wall working in perfect harmony with oak timber flooring\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause this market is so terrible, I\u2019m going to lose money on the apartment, so we thought, let\u2019s put a price on it and see what happens. People don\u2019t have to guess; they can go, \u2018Can I afford it \u2013 yes or no?\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI\u2019m not a greedy person. I\u2019ll see where the cards fall and take what happens in life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Feeney said she and boyfriend Minou (\u201che\u2019s like Madonna, he just has one name\u201d) would miss the views, adding that the apartment was in a \u201creally great spot\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see the Sky Tower, the harbour bridge and I\u2019ve been watching the new Karanga-a-Hape Station being built the last two years.\u201d <\/p>\n

Feeney said that she has snapped up a dated apartment on Victoria Street, less than a block from the podcast studios she runs with former husband Dom Harvey. That deal goes unconditional in October, so she needed to move quickly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love living there, at the top of Queen Street, behind K Road, that\u2019s not really my hood. I\u2019m definitely more of a Ponsonby-Herne Bay-side person,\u201d she told OneRoof. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a block that I\u2019ve wanted to live in all along, and one came up for sale. I love the space and the location.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere have been lots of ups and downs with this one, but I\u2019ve managed to get finance to hold me over.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said her new place was a deceased estate and in need of renovation, so she has tapped pal Shelley Ferguson for advice, joking her budget may not be up to that of Ferguson\u2019s recent clients, rich-lister Anna Mowbray and her husband, former All Black Ali Williams. <\/p>\n

Feeney announced in 2024<\/a> that she was taking a step back from her radio career to focus on herself and re-energise.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people will be shocked by this, and others will be happy,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just feel really tired. I feel like I don\u2019t have many creative ideas left. It\u2019s a terrifying idea to give up the only thing I have known my whole life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Feeney kicked off her radio career at 17 when she joined MediaWorks\u2019 Energy FM in New Plymouth.<\/p>\n

She moved to Hamilton in 1994 to host the drive show at The Breeze, yet joined The Edge four months later, shortly after it first aired.<\/p>\n
