Cafe Hanoi. The food is immaculate, the staff are so kind and accommodating, and it\u2019s somewhere I go to celebrate all my special occasions, so it\u2019s got a real place in my heart. <\/p>\n
The place to take a visitor?<\/p>\n
Queens Rooftop Bar. Absolutely elite. Make sure the wallet is a little fuller for this one but it\u2019s worth the treat. Some of the best food in the CBD with an unbeatable view.<\/p>\n
Best spot to finish a night out?<\/p>\n
Caretaker. This spot\u2019s super calm and composed, it\u2019s a nice unwinding after a busy night (or day, no judgment here). They don\u2019t have a menu, so you basically order off vibes. I can never remember the name of the drink that comes along but that\u2019s okay, I just pour it down the hatch. <\/p>\n
Best coffee?<\/p>\n
Grays, off Dominion Rd. Local gem, Grayson runs the show, coffee slaps. Not sure what beans they use but I do know that there\u2019s a little vintage clothes shop running downstairs. (And tattoos or did I make that part up?)<\/p>\n
Favourite trail for a hike?<\/p>\n
H\u016bnua Ranges. Escaping the hustle and bustle is so needed sometimes, and it\u2019s a bit of a hidden gem. Always nice and quiet, with a few good spots to cool off along the way. <\/p>\n
Favourite fish and chip shop?<\/p>\n
Catch and Crisps. Genuinely worried that I love these chips more than some of my family. <\/p>\n
Venue for a gig?<\/p>\n
Mudbrick on Waiheke. Nothing beats a band playing with a posh random wine in hand. You know it\u2019s a good wine when it sounds like a spell from Harry Potter.<\/p>\n
Best spot for a bargain?<\/p>\n
Recycle Boutique. Great for you and the environment so it\u2019s a win win. I\u2019ve got my clothes in the mix at the minute.<\/p>\n
