\t\t\t\tChrysler is now a mere shadow of its former self, as it only sells two models in North America, and these are the Voyager and the Pacifica<\/a> minivans.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

As you likely already know, these start at $41,395 for the former and $44,445 for the latter, and they are nothing to write home about. However, Stellantis, which is the automaker\u2019s parent company, plans to rejuvenate it, and there are a few models that are in the making as we speak. These include the Arrow and the Arrow cross, as well as the Airflow, and they are crossovers. But could the auto marque finally return to the sedan game with an entirely new generation of the 300?<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a tricky one to answer, because while we are tempted to say no, some rumors have emerged of a possible four-door sedan. However, the model is currently unofficial, so it hasn\u2019t been detailed. Moreover, even if it gets the green light for production, chances are it won\u2019t arrive at dealers for many more years. Some believe it might be inspired by the Halcyon Concept<\/a>, perhaps going down the EV route, but let\u2019s not forget that there has been a shift away from such rides, and to be honest, we wouldn\u2019t hold our breath for a new Chrysler sedan.<\/p>\n

Okay, so what is the deal with the vehicle pictured in the gallery? Well, as mentioned in the title, it lives in Fantasy Land. Thus, it is nothing more than a mere CGI-infused project, which imagines what a hypothetical successor to the Chrysler 300 could look like, if @kdesignag held the reins. That\u2019s because this is the pixel artist behind these digital illustrations, and frankly, the car in question does not have the most inspiring design.<\/p>\n

Sure, it may be instantly recognizable due to the familiar profile, but the front fascia definitely needs to have its pixels rearranged. The short and wide upper grille is definitely not on the imposing side of things, and neither is the enlarged central air intake in the redesigned bumper. The model<\/a> has V-shaped LED DRLs that stretch across its entire width, and the main clusters appear to have been mounted further down. The integrated apron is a bit fatter, and the new hood has many more creases on it.<\/p>\n

Save for the new side skirts, the profile of this imagined Chrysler 300 carries over, hence the familiar approach mentioned above. Even the muscular wheel arches are the same, though upon taking a closer look at the door mirrors, we can see that these are new, and also less exciting than they used to be. The wheels are not on the cool side of things either, this writer believes, and out back, the car looks more like a facelift than an entirely new generation due to its tweaked bumper and evolutionary taillights.<\/p>\n

Most rendering artists would have called it a day after imagining the exterior of a vehicle<\/a> from several angles, but not this one. Instead, he also put the spotlight on the redesigned cockpit, which features a new dashboard panel, a landscape-oriented infotainment system with a larger display that was neatly integrated into the central part of the dashboard, a digital gauge cluster that looks kind of evolutionary, and a tweaked steering wheel that\u2019s not on the exciting side of things.<\/p>\n

The center console features new controls for the HVAC system right below the central air vents that used to flank the infotainment screen on the demised Chrysler 300. We can also see a new gear knob, some cubbies, wooden trim, part leather upholstery with a tan look, some ambient lighting, and other bits and bobs that further separate this imagined sedan from its discontinued predecessor.<\/p>\n

Do you know what this thing<\/a> would need in order to shine more? A large V8 engine under the hood, which would turn the model into a veritable four-door muscle car with a premium vibe. And if we had to pick a mill, we\u2019d definitely get the Hellcat unit, a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, pairing it with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission that would channel a huge amount of power to the rear wheels. An all-wheel drive system would be found on the options list for customers who would not be into the tail-happy skills of this ride.<\/p>\n

Now, as mentioned above, we would not hold our breath for an entirely new sedan from Chrysler, and even if it would happen at one point, chances are the V8 would not be part of the recipe. The last Chrysler 300 rolled off the assembly line at the Brampton factory in Ontario, Canada, in late 2023, sharing its Chrysler LD platform with the W211 generation Mercedes E-Class, as well as the previous Dodge Charger, and its two-door sibling, the Challenger. And yes, the V8 used to be a thing in the 300, just not the Hellcat<\/a> one.<\/p>\n
