\u201cSo it\u2019s been a journey and a long road, but I\u2019m happy that I\u2019m on the other side of it and everything is going good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite this, Polizzi acknowledges that she still needs to take things slowly.<\/p>\n

She reflected: \u201cI\u2019m trying to listen to my body and give my body grace and not go crazy. There\u2019s days where I do too much and then I just feel exhausted and I start getting pains. But other than that, I\u2019m finally starting to feel better. I feel like I\u2019m almost getting back to myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Polizzi underwent surgery in July, after being diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer<\/a> at the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

Speaking on It\u2019s Happening with Snooki and Joey, she shared: \u201cI didn\u2019t realise how f***ing awful it was gonna be. Not to scare anybody that is going to do this. You have to.\u201d<\/p>\n

The podcast was recorded on \u201cday 17\u201d of Polizzi\u2019s recovery, as she added: \u201cThe last two days have been miserable. It hurts and I\u2019m over it. I\u2019m not comfortable, and it\u2019s not an easy recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Polizzi also shared details of her journey on social media.<\/p>\n

She said in an Instagram video: \u201cI\u2019m being very vulnerable here. But I feel like in this journey, I\u2019ve been very vulnerable in general. So, I just want to keep it going.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause, you know, it\u2019s a scary thing. And a lot of us women deal with it. And no one really talks about it.
