Nscale, a London-based AI hyperscaler, on Friday filed for its initial public offering. <\/p>\n

Why it maters: This would be the first major AI listing since the safety debate exploded into the mainstream and Anthropic \u2014 a major Nscale customer \u2014 talked about “pacing the frontier.” <\/p>\n

By the numbers: Renaissance Capital estimates<\/a> that Nscale’s IPO could raise around $2 billion. <\/p>\n

The company, which was spun out of a cryptocurreny miner two years ago, reports<\/a> a $1.02 billion net loss on $140.6 million in revenue for the first half of 2026, versus a $369 million net loss on $10.4 million in revenue for the year-earlier period. <\/p>\n

Nscale also reports over $103 billion of total contracted value, and has raised billions of VC dollars (plus lots of debt) \u2014 most recently this past spring at a $13.5 billion post-money valuation \u2014 from firms like Aker, Sandton Capital Partners, and Paladin Capital. <\/p>\n
