Rescue teams have retrieved two people who were stuck down a cliff in Auckland’s Castor Bay this morning. <\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said officers were notified of two people at the bottom of a cliff face at Castor Bay just before 5am. <\/p>\n

“Emergency services attended and located the pair on the rocks,” they said. <\/p>\n

One person was transported to hospital in a serious condition, and the second person was uninjured.<\/p>\n

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the report were ongoing, the spokesperson said. <\/p>\n

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) spokesperson told 1News crews received an incident from ambulance reporting two people down a cliff at Castor Bay just before 5am. <\/p>\n

FENZ deployed their specialist level three lines rescue team, and said it was working with police and ambulance crews. <\/p>\n

Both patients have since been retrieved.<\/p>\n
