However, both shows were cancelled due to an incoming Nor\u2019easter that shutdown most outdoor live-music events throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions this weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The New York-bred Grateful Dead project had already arrived at Pier 17 and started to soundcheck when they learned their show could not proceed as planned, so the quintet decided to stage a free pop-up show outside the venue instead. JRAD setup in front of the concert space\u2019s street-level box office and performed from 5:23-6:52pm, a \u201cgentleman\u2019s 90,\u201d in Joe Russo\u2019s words, for fans who had already made their way to Pier 17. The extended set kicked off with \u201cScarlet Begonias,\u201d before segueing into the Bob Dylan\/Robert Hunter collaboration \u201cSilvio,\u201d Jerry Garcia Band\u2019s \u201cRuben &amp; Cherise\u201d and The Rascals\u2019 \u201cGood Lovin.\u201d The ensemble paused briefly and then jumped into \u201cShakedown Street,\u201d Dylan\u2019s \u201cAll Along Watchtower,\u201d \u201cSlipknot!,\u201d \u201cHelp on the Way,\u201d the rest of \u201cSlipknot!\u201d and \u201cFranklin\u2019s Tower.\u201d From there, JRAD closed the impromptu performance with a segue from \u201cFeel Like A Stranger\u201d into \u201cTerrapin Station,\u201d before encoring with \u201cI Know You Rider.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As always, the group dotted their show with teases.
