Prince Harry says “it’s been great” being back in the UK after spending the past six years in California.<\/p>\n
“It’s been great to be back on British soil. The kids are happy in school and it gives me a chance to be able to really focus on the Invictus Games in Birmingham in July next year,” he told Canadian network CTV.<\/p>\n
He spoke to CTV after completing a skydive in Toronto to honour a 102-year-old World War Two veteran and raise awareness of military charities.<\/p>\n
The Duke of Sussex said there were “lots of reasons” behind the move, but did not elaborate further.<\/p>\n
The Sussexes are understood to be staying at a private property in the Cotswolds, outside London, after returning to the UK last month<\/a>. The move comes six years after Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and relocated to the US<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n Their return has been accompanied by ongoing tensions<\/a> with the Royal Family and safety concerns for their children<\/a>.<\/p>\n The couple were reportedly surprised<\/a> by a letter authorised by the King<\/a> that reaffirmed their status as private citizens and outlined how senior government and military figures should treat them.<\/p>\n
