In this Khar home, designed for a cinematographer and producer, the narrative manifests through a sequence of richly composed areas, where collected furniture, tasteful detailing and shifting moods lend each space its own distinct character.<\/p>\n<p>The entrance sets a theatrical tone, the kitchen draws you into a more enveloping world, while the living spaces bring together the warmth of natural materials and the patina of objects that appear to have gathered stories of their own. Moving through the home feels like looking through a kaleidoscope, with every turn revealing a new arrangement of colour, texture and personality, each facet contributing to a larger visual narrative.<\/p>\n<p>The Art Of The Opening Frame<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Image may contain Indoors Interior Design Furniture and Table\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ResponsiveImageContainer-dkeESL cQPiWi responsive-image__image\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/L1030492.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Kuber Shah<\/p>\n<p>For Shabnam Gupta, founder of The Orange Lane, the project began with an instinctive understanding of the clients\u2019 profession and perspective. \u201cAs a cinematographer and a producer, the clients naturally see the world in frames, so we designed the home to match that vibe\u2014where every space evokes a distinct emotion while feeling deeply personal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Image may contain Chandelier Lamp Architecture Building Dining Room Dining Table Furniture Indoors Room and Table\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ResponsiveImageContainer-dkeESL cQPiWi responsive-image__image\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/L1030335.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Kuber Shah<\/p>\n<p>The entrance establishes this sensibility immediately. A textured terracotta passage frames a dark, sculptural wooden bench, its patterned floor introducing a geometric note beneath the warmth of the walls. The antique wooden panel with floral relief detailing adds to the rustic setup. Across the threshold, an almost peacock green cabinet occupies the far wall, its decorative panels and brass-toned details lending the space the air of an old-world dressing room.
