Speaking on Sprouse\u2019s new Wildmen podcast, the 32-year-old model said: \u201cThat scar came back where I was like, oh the number on the scale really going up super quick and my arms are getting bigger.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t have a bump yet, but your stomach is bigger, and your pants don\u2019t fit. I started spiralling.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is when it\u2019s important that you have a good partner. Dylan was there reminding me every single time that we\u2019re creating life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Palvin admitted her anxiety about her changing figure came after more than 20 years working as a model and feeling constantly scrutinised about her shape.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI started when I was 13. By 17, every single time I would go into the agency, they would tell me I have to lose weight. My hips were too big. I didn\u2019t even have hips yet.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been already scarred from constantly getting comments on my body. From my agency, from the industry in general, to lose weight. Lose weight, be skinnier, do this, do that. I was trying to do all that. I was dieting. I was eating unhealthy. I was going crazy \u2018cause I would think like, \u2018Oh my god, I\u2019m in such a good shape.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Palvin received a boost when she landed a job with Victoria\u2019s Secret, but her feelings quickly changed.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018F*** yeah, it\u2019s working out.\u2019 And then they put the label on me that, \u2018Oh, she\u2019s the first plus-sized model.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
The model insisted it isn\u2019t hurtful to be considered a plus-sized model, but she didn\u2019t view herself that way and had been \u201ctorturing\u201d herself to fit into a conventional body type.<\/p>\n
And when she did lose weight, she faced even more criticism.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI started posting pictures and then I started getting comments, \u2018Oh my god, why is she so skinny?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI get it in a sense like, I\u2019m a public figure, I\u2019m a model, so I am working with my body, so that should give them the right to comment on my body.<\/p>\n
