MasterChef\u2019s Declan Cleary<\/a> has a new outlook on life, as rumours continue to swirl over the state of his relationship with fellow MasterChef alum Sarah Todd<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After a recent trip to Italy with his twin daughters, Claudia and Charlotte, insiders tell Woman\u2019s Day that the reality star has a renewed focus on his health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeclan\u2019s time on\u00a0MasterChef<\/a>\u00a0and the fame that came after it made finding balance particularly challenging,\u201d a source close to the former MasterChef contestant spills. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re surrounded by incredible food every single day, it\u2019s incredibly hard not to indulge. There was always something delicious to taste, and that\u2019s literally part of the job. <\/p>\n

\u201cDeclan loved every minute of the\u00a0MasterChef\u00a0experience, but being around food constantly can make healthy routines tricky. These days, he seems to have found a much better balance. And becoming a dad has given Declan an extra reason to prioritise his wellbeing.\u201d <\/p>\n

The 27-year-old welcomed his twin daughters earlier this year with fellow former MasterChef contestant<\/a> Sarah Todd. Sarah also has a son from a previous relationship. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants to have plenty of energy for his family and is really enjoying it,\u201d the source explains. \u201cHaving children has changed his perspective. He wants to be active, energetic and present. His girls are his biggest motivation. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s not chasing some impossible ideal \u2014 he just wants to feel good, have more energy \u2013 that\u2019s what\u2019s really driving him. It\u2019s about being the best dad he can be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Declan\u2019s new lease on life comes after months of rumours that he and Sarah had split up.<\/p>\n

Fans became concerned the MasterChef fan favourites had gone their separate ways after they stopped posting about each other on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, a source close the couple squashed the rumours, telling New Idea<\/a> Declan said he had \u201cdefinitely not\u201d broken up with Sarah. <\/p>\n

\u201cTheir lives might look separate from the outside, but behind closed doors they are very much together. They are making plans, looking for a home and building their future as a family,\u201d the insider dished. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey made a conscious decision to pull back [on social media],\u201d the insider said. \u201cThat includes what they post, how they comment on each other\u2019s pages and how often they present themselves as a couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, when people suddenly stop seeing a couple together online, they assume something must be wrong. In this case, it is actually about creating stronger boundaries.\u201d<\/p>\n
