{"id":615566,"date":"2026-09-29T18:02:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-29T18:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/615566\/"},"modified":"2026-09-29T18:02:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-29T18:02:09","slug":"will-reeve-christopher-reeves-son-shares-testicular-cancer-diagnosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/615566\/","title":{"rendered":"Will Reeve, Christopher Reeve&#8217;s Son, Shares Testicular Cancer Diagnosis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/good_morning_america\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Good Morning America<\/a>\u00a0anchor didn\u2019t know, however, was that his health journey was just beginning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, further testing revealed that 95 percent of the testicular cancer found was embryonal carcinoma, an aggressive form of the disease.<\/p>\n<p>And that June, he had to undergo a six-hour surgery to remove dozens of lymph nodes from his abdomen, three of which tested positive for testicular cancer, which forced him to endure two rounds of chemotherapy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And as he received the treatment he needed, Reeve couldn\u2019t help but reflect on his parents\u2019 health journeys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe irony is not lost on me that 20 years after my mom died of lung cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering, there I was in the same building getting treated for cancer,\u201d he explained. \u201cI was experiencing life as each of my parents at the same time.
