{"id":616116,"date":"2026-09-30T07:00:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T07:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/616116\/"},"modified":"2026-09-30T07:00:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T07:00:09","slug":"nine-guns-seized-in-christchurch-raid-king-cobra-members-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/616116\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine guns seized in Christchurch raid, King Cobra members arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three King Cobra members have been arrested after nine guns, drugs, and cash were seized during a raid in Christchurch on Monday.  <\/p>\n<p>Police said the Northcote search was part of an investigation into the sale of cannabis.  <\/p>\n<p>Nine guns, including pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns and a suppressed, scoped semi-automatic rifle, were found.  <\/p>\n<p>More than a kilogram of cannabis and $15,000 in cash were seized.  <\/p>\n<p>Two 20-year-olds and a 22-year-old from Kaiapoi and Northcote \u2013 members of the King Cobra gang \u2013 were charged with possession for supply, unlawful possession of a firearm and driving while disqualified.<\/p>\n<p>They will reappear in the Christchurch District Court on October 1, 15 and 23.
