\n\tGames company Ubisoft<\/a> has landed on a name for what it has been calling \u201cCreative House 2,\u201d led by general manager Christoph Hartmann, the former head of Amazon Games who recently joined the team.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe group is being named Massive Entertainment<\/a>, adopting the name of Ubisoft\u2019s Sweden-based studio that has been part of the company since 2008. Massive Entertainment is the global label for titles including Tom Clancy\u2019s \u201cThe Division,\u201d \u201cGhost Recon\u201d and \u201cSplinter Cell,\u201d alongside new original IP including \u201cMarch of Giants,\u201d a multiplayer online battle arena game Ubisoft acquired from Amazon<\/a> (where it was previously developed by Hartmann and his team).<\/p>\n

\n\tEffective Wednesday (Sept. 30), development teams responsible for these franchises in Montr\u00e9al, Paris, Sweden and Toronto will operate under the Massive Entertainment brand.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMassive Entertainment has always been defined by passion, ambition and incredible talent, and our focus now is on what comes next,\u201d Hartmann said in a statement. \u201cBringing our teams together under one identity gives us the opportunity to combine the creative energy and expertise across Montr\u00e9al, Paris, Sweden and Toronto to shape the next generation of these iconic franchises, create new games and IPs, and push our craft and technology forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMassive Entertainment remains part of Ubisoft, which publishes and distributes all games developed under the Massive Entertainment brand. There is \u201cno change to ongoing commitments for players or partners,\u201d Ubisoft said.<\/p>\n

\n\tUbisoft\u2019s Creative House 1 is Vantage Studios, as announced in October 2025 as part of its creative house-led operating model<\/a>. The Vantage Studios portfolio includes franchises :Assassin\u2019s Creed,\u201d \u201cFar Cry\u201d and \u201cRainbow Six.\u201d Its other groups (Creative House 3, 4 and 5) have not been named.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the past year, Ubisoft has undergone major restructuring and multiple rounds of layoffs.
