<\/p>\nAn investigation is underway after three people were found dead at a property in South Auckland last night. <\/p>\n
Police were called to a property on Cambridge Terrace in Papatoetoe at around 6.40pm after a person was found dead.<\/p>\n
“Upon arrival, police have located this person, as well as two additional people within the home who were also pronounced deceased,” Detective Inspector Karen Bright said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhile our investigation is in the early stages, we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection to what has occurred.”<\/p>\n

Police do not believe there is any risk to the wider public. <\/p>\n
A scene examination was being carried out “which will help us piece together the circumstances that led to this tragic event,\u201d Bright said.<\/p>\n
Support was being provided to the whan\u0101u and neighbours of those found dead. <\/p>\n

\u201cPolice recognise events like this hit at the hearts of our communities, and we are doing everything we can to answer the many questions around this devastating incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cResidents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while the investigation continues,\u201d Bright said. <\/p>\n
A neighbour told the NZ Herald he saw a man’s body at the entrance to the house.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were having dinner and my daughter saw police cars go past so I opened the door to look and saw him. Lots of us on this side of the road did.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another said they were shaken when told what had happened. <\/p>\n
\u201cI just bloody bawled my eyes out. I can\u2019t believe it. They\u2019re a good family,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust bloody hell. I just can\u2019t believe it. You see this on the news.<\/p>\n
\u201dI\u2019m just absolutely in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n
St John said it responded with one ambulance, a critical care unit and an operations manager.<\/p>\n
