Shivon Zilis<\/a>, the Neuralink executive who is the mother of four of Elon Musk<\/a>‘s children, went public Friday with a relationship update. And she did it on X after he unfollowed her on the social platform he owns.<\/p>\n

A post shared from Zilis’ X account said she had gone “from in love to let go in a week with no warning.”<\/p>\n

“I’ve loved him more than life itself and he’s taught me 100 lifetimes of knowledge and made my cup overflow with life meaning, so there is a lot of loss, but luckily we created four beautiful little loves of my life \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f I am so beyond grateful for our children and they make every single day the best day of my life! I do hope and pray he and I can be great friends and coparents,” the post said.<\/p>\n

“I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness,” she added.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that\u2019s just how it is sometimes \ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/p>\n

The post included a screenshot purporting to show Musk texting Zilis on September 24 about a dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping. In the exchange, Musk said he would have invited Zilis if he had known he could bring a “significant other” as a plus-one. It also reshared a post about Musk unfollowing Zilis on X.<\/p>\n

Zilis, Neuralink, and Musk did not immediately respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Zilis’s post is an unusually intimate dispatch from one of the more private people in Musk’s orbit. Zilis has been working at Musk’s neurotechnology company, Neuralink, as a director of operations and special projects.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Business Insider reported<\/a> that Zilis had not disclosed to OpenAI that she had twins with Musk while she was on the AI lab’s board. BI’s reporting was featured<\/a> during Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI in May.<\/p>\n

Zilis took the stand during the trial in that case and testified about her relationship with Musk, saying they have been “romantically involved.”<\/p>\n

“We do live together when traveling, and we’ve been spending family time in Austin,” said Zilis of Musk, adding that he is “in part” supporting the children.<\/p>\n

The post on Zilis’ account drew comments praising her for her gracious comments about Musk and others criticizing her for including a screenshot of a private text exchange.<\/p>\n

Another Silicon Valley exec chimed in with his two cents: Alexandr Wang, the head of Meta’s AI efforts, who drew headlines when Musk unfollowed him.<\/p>\n
