Kadokawa<\/a> revealed the main staff and the first key visual on Saturday for the television anime<\/a> of Nahuse<\/a>‘s Rebuild World<\/a> light novel series.<\/p>\n

Tsukasa Sakurai<\/a> (Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For!<\/a>; Ry\u016bsatsu no Ky\u014dkotsu<\/a> director) is the chief director of the anime at Raging Bull<\/a>, and Shingo Uchida<\/a> (episode director for Attack on Titan TV 3\/2018<\/a>, Vinland Saga<\/a>, After the Rain<\/a>) is directing the series. Naoki Tozuka<\/a> (I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince<\/a> both seasons; Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For!) is overseeing the series scripts, and Hiromi Kat\u014d<\/a> (Kobato.<\/a>, Goblin Slayer II<\/a>, A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special<\/a> both seasons) and others are designing the characters.<\/p>\n

Kadokawa announced the anime at Anime Expo<\/a> in early July 2023, and Dengeki Bunko<\/a> announced<\/a> the main cast members later that month. No new information about the anime had been revealed since then, until today.<\/p>\n

The anime stars:\n<\/p>\n

J-Novel Club<\/a> is releasing<\/a> the light novels and<\/a> manga adaptation in English, and it describes the story:\n<\/p>\n

\tThe pinnacle of human civilization has come and gone,
\n\tleaving only ruins in its wake. Society and science now
\n\tstruggle to rebuild, rediscovering scraps of knowledge from
\n\tpowerful ancient artifacts that defy comprehension. These
\n\trelics of the \u201cOld World\u201d can make the fortunes of those who
\n\tfind them\u2014if ancient security systems and rogue bioweapons
\n\tdon’t kill the relic hunters first.<\/p>\n

Akira, a young street orphan, sets out to become one such
\n\thunter to escape his brutal life in the slums. Untrained,
\n\tmalnourished, and poorly armed, Akira would be lucky to
\n\tmake it back from the ruins alive\u2014until an encounter with Alpha, a mysterious,
\n\tghostly woman, changes his fate forever. Alpha needs a hunter, and she’s willing to
\n\ttrain Akira to get one.<\/p>\n

Will her support be enough to help a penniless kid from the slums climb to the top
\n\tof a crushing and merciless world?\n<\/p>\n

Kadokawa publishes the novels by Nahuse with illustrations by Gin<\/a> (illustrator), yish<\/a> (environmental artist), and cell<\/a> (mechanical designer). Nahuse began publishing the story on the Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d and Kakuyomu websites in February 2017 and the most recent chapter on the sites was in August 2021. Kadokawa began publishing the series in print in 2019, and will publish the final part of the ninth volume on November 17.<\/p>\n

Kirihito Ayamura<\/a> draws the manga, which launched in July 2019. Kadokawa published the 16th compiled volume on July 27.<\/p>\n

The novels ranked<\/a> at #5 on the tank\u014dbon rankings for the 2020 edition of Takarajimasha<\/a>‘s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook.<\/p>\n
