\n\tCalvin\u2019s is taking walk-ins once again as Barbershop<\/a> returns to screens with a new eight-episode show.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday at CultureCon, Prime Video<\/a> shared the first teaser for the series adaptation of the comedy-drama film franchise that launched in 2002, revealing the barbershop\u2019s new owner in the show, all episodes of which premiere Feb. 10, 2027 on the streaming platform.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe TV adaptation stars Jermaine Fowler<\/a> as Travis \u201cTrav\u201d Porter, who endeavors to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather Eddie (played in the movies by Cedric the Entertainer), a legendary barber at the iconic Calvin\u2019s barbershop in Chicago. And while the barbers are new, the shop remains just as lively, the customers just as argumentative, and the fades are still the dopest in the city \u2014 because at Calvin\u2019s, the community comes together for way more than just a haircut.<\/p>\n

\n\tFowler stars in the series alongside Brett Gray, Punkie Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., E.J. Bonilla, Bresha Webb, Bokeem Woodbine, Tiana Okoye and Langston Kerman, with guest stars including Zack Fox, Ego Nwodim, Diallo Riddle, Ziwe, Tituss Burgess, Comedian CP, Devon Walker and Belmont Cameli.<\/p>\n

\n\tMarshall Todd, who co-wrote the original film, serves as writer, EP and co-showrunner alongside Max Searle. <\/p>\n

\n\tLaunching with 2002\u2019s Barbershop, and featuring a star-studded ensemble led by Ice Cube as Calvin, the franchise also includes the sequels Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004) and Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016), as well as the 2005 spin-off Beauty Shop, starring Queen Latifah.<\/p>\n
