(Source: 1News)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Two patients were assessed at the scene, with one patient currently being transported to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition,&#8221; a St John spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>The road is closed between Postman and Horseshoe Bush roads, with diversions in place.<\/p>\n<p>A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said it responded at 2.40pm with two units from Silverdale and one from East Coast Bays. A specialist heavy rescue unit from Papatoetoe was also called but they were not required and stood down.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Three people were trapped in the vehicles and had to be extracted,&#8221; the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>The serious crash unit has been advised.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Emergency services are responding to a serious three-vehicle crash in the north of Auckland.
