Stoats are also controlled through secondary poisoning as they feed on the dead rodents,” DOC says in an advisory.<\/p>\n
<img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/powelliphanta_snail_-doc-jpg.webp\" width=\"1066\" height=\"600\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"narrow-format\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"color:transparent;object-fit:cover;display:block;box-sizing:border-box;padding:0px;width:100%;height:100%\"\/><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/powelliphanta_snail_-doc-jpg.webp\" width=\"1066\" height=\"600\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"wider-format\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"color:transparent;object-fit:cover;display:block;box-sizing:border-box;padding:0px;width:100%;height:100%\"\/>A Powelliphanta snail.
