HONG KONG, Oct 6 \u2014 Is a major streetwear collaboration on the way?<\/p>\n
It seems a partnership between Jackson Wang\u2019s Team Wang Design and Edison Chen\u2019s Clot may be in the works after the two Hong Kong stars shared cryptic teasers on social media on Oct 4.<\/p>\n
Team Wang Design is a fashion label co-founded by 32-year-old singer Jackson, who\u2019s also part of the K-pop group Got7, and Henry Cheung in 2020, while Clot is a streetwear brand established in 2003 by actor Edison, who turns 46 this month.<\/p>\n
An Instagram Story shared by the two brands yesterday shows Edison video-calling Jackson and asking him for help, seemingly spoofing a common online scam.<\/p>\n
During the call, Edison tells Jackson that he\u2019s in Guangzhou and needs 300 yuan to get back to Hong Kong, saying: \u201cYou got me, right?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jackson replies asking how he can help.<\/p>\n
Edison then sends Jackson a photo featuring both brands\u2019 logos alongside a QR code, which directs users to Team Wang Design\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
Another Instagram post uploaded on the same day shows a black-and-white clip of a moving train bearing the words \u201cOn My Way\u201d. The second slide features a similar photo that was sent to Jackson.<\/p>\n
The caption reads: \u201cWe come from different places, making different choices.<\/p>\n
\u201cNone of us has all the answers and we are all still finding our way forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a journey with an unknown destination. Scan the QR code in the image, or head to the Team Wang Design website to join the mission and help Edison return to Hong Kong.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are all on our way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Team Wang Design\u2019s website landing page features a poster bearing the message: \u201cJackson Wang invites you to support Edison Chen\u2019s return.\u201d<\/p>\n
It also includes a progress bar that is at press time 57 per cent complete and a message saying there\u2019re \u201cfive days left\u201d, suggesting fans won\u2019t have to wait long for the project\u2019s full reveal.<\/p>\n
Jackson recently signed a management deal with Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z, and released his new single Thank You. Edison is filming the 2027 Malaysian Chinese New Year movie Temple of Wishes. \u2014 AsiaOne<\/p>\n
