The sixth edition of the New Museum Triennial will take place from 4 February to 16 May, the New Museum has announced. It will be the first since the museum\u2019s reopening<\/a> in March, following two years of construction on its expansion<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n The 2026 triennial, cocurated by New Museum curator Vivian Crockett and Museu de Arte de S\u00e3o Paulo (MASP) curator Isabella Rjeille, will be titled The Outside Expands. The title is partly inspired by a 1979 intervention by the Brazilian collective 3N\u00d3S3, where the group taped Xs across the entrance of several S\u00e3o Paulo galleries accompanied by the message \u2018What is inside remains, what is outside expands\u2019, to encourage cultural workers to think beyond institutions.
