The shock return of Prince Harry<\/a> and his wife M<\/a>eghan, Duchess of Sussex<\/a>, to UK shores was welcomed by a King <\/a>keen to enjoy more time with his grandchildren in a \u201cprivate capacity\u201d.<\/p>\n

And yet, as the weeks pass with the Sussexes reportedly ensconced somewhere near The Cotswolds, sources tell Woman\u2019s Day that very little quality time between grandpa Charles, Prince Archie<\/a> and Princess Lilibet<\/a> has been enjoyed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles absolutely loves being a grandfather, he may not have always been the best father but he\u2019s really taken to his role as a grandad so he\u2019s pretty gutted he hasn\u2019t even seen Archie and Lili more since they landed in the UK,\u201d a royal insider says.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere he was expecting that they\u2019d be getting straight into making up for lost time, and it\u2019s been quite the opposite.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry keeps promising him that the visit will happen very soon but so far there\u2019s been no date set and Charles is feeling very let down .\u201d<\/p>\n

It is perhaps not a surprise. A source close to the couple previously told People that Meghan and Harry had \u201ca lot to do\u201d as they embarked on their new chapter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have just moved halfway across the world, and it\u2019s been really busy getting the kids settled,\u201d the insider added. \u201cTheir focus has been on that, and will remain on that, for the time being. They are happy to be back.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Except there is evidence that Meghan has been juggling family commitments with work priorities too \u2013 as in early October the Duchess dropped details of her limited edition Christmas advent calendar, available to preorder from her lifestyle brand As Ever for $AU212.<\/p>\n

The calendar, created in collaboration with swish LA chocolatier Compart\u00e9s, features a drawing inspired by Harry and Meghan\u2019s Montecito home, and includes 24 chocolates each finished with a countdown number \u201cin Meghan\u2019s personal penmanship, hand-painted in edible gold luster\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Royalist, royal expert Tom Sykes accused Meghan of \u201cselling a life she doesn\u2019t actually live in\u201d with her latest product.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think right now the presence of the kids is about creating this fantasy perfect domestic life, which we\u2019re seeing with the advent calendar is clearly trying to sell,\u201d the commentator said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clearly trying to say, we have this lovely, lovely life, our beautiful house. It\u2019s so perfect. We can\u2019t wait to get back there for Christmas. But people are not stupid. They\u2019re looking at that and going, \u2018But you don\u2019t live there\u2026. so none of this makes any sense\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the criticism, Meghan appears to be on a roll as the festive season approaches. <\/p>\n

Days after the calendar launch, to coincide with the arrival of As Ever\u2019s \u201cHoliday Collection\u201d featuring a range of baskets filled with pantry items and \u201cthoughtful gifts\u201d, Meghan shared new footage of her daughter Lilibet, which included clear audio of her voice.<\/p>\n

In footage shared to Meghan\u2019s personal Instagram page, the auburn-haired princess, five, could be seen stirring a pot of jam.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you think Lili?\u201d Meghan asked her daughter in the clip, which was set to emotive music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s beautiful,\u201d the young Princess replied in a clear American accent.<\/p>\n

In a post alongside the video, Meghan gushed over the entrepreneurial spirit she had shown as a young girl not much older than her daughter is now.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was about eight years old I started my own business making handmade scrunchies I sewed on my grandmother\u2019s Singer sewing machine and sold for $1 a piece,\u201d the former Suits star wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI sold Girl Scout cookies, had lemonade stands, worked in a frozen yogurt shop and had countless other jobs. My entrepreneurial spirit was always there.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I shared years ago on [her lifestyle blog] The Tig (PS, love you ladies @thetiglets): \u201cBehind every successful woman is herself\u201d \u2013 and that\u2019s true\u2026 but there\u2019s more: a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team.<\/p>\n

Naturally, Meghan\u2019s own work commitments bring an extra layer of complexity when it comes to trying to arrange for her children to enjoy time with their grandfather the King.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not as easy as just popping over for a visit with the kids,\u201d an insider tells Woman\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan will have to join them so it needs to align with her schedule, it has to work with the kids\u2019 school schedules, with Harry\u2019s schedule and of course with Charles and Camilla\u2019s, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

An added obstacle to any reunion between Charles and the Sussexes in recent weeks has also been the drama caused by the publication of Earl Charles Spencer\u2019s book Swan Song: Diana My Sister.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the stress of the Spencer book drama hasn\u2019t helped, any free time has been filled up with crisis meetings, it\u2019s been a dreadful time,\u201d a source tells Woman\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the King is determined to fix this, he wants to see Archie and Lili as soon as possible.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
