Volkswagen has unveiled the ID. Tiguan, a battery electric SUV planned for introduction in 2027 that will sit alongside the existing petrol-powered Tiguan range.<\/p>\n

VW NZ says the \u2018familiar name\u2019 is significant for New Zealand, where Tiguan remains Volkswagen\u2019s best-selling passenger vehicle. The electric version will add another powertrain choice, while the current Tiguan continues with traditional powertrain options. The ID. Tiguan is a major update of the ID. 4, which will be discontinued. <\/p>\n

One of the more practical changes is inside. Volkswagen says the ID. Tiguan\u2019s redesigned cabin brings more physical controls for key functions, alongside updated technology and a focus on ease of use.<\/p>\n
