Beck will perform Light for Mongolia at Eurovision Asia

We’re now further along our journey to Bangkok with the completion of another National Selection Show for Eurovision Song Contest Asia.

On Saturday 10 October it was the turn of Mongolia to select its song for Bangkok 2026. Mongolia’s Chosen One had lined up four potential Eurovision Asia entries, all performed by Mongolian musician Beck. During the live show, a public vote was opened and extended to everyone watching around the world, as well as viewers at home in Mongolia.

The votes are in and now Mongolia has the song for its Eurovision Asia debut. Beck will perform Light for his country on Saturday 14 November.

The song that finished in second place was Chamguigeer (Without You) and landing in third was One of a Kind.

Light became the winner thanks to three sets of scores that came from different sources. A professional jury contributed 40% of the points, while viewers voting at home in Mongolia were responsible for an additional 40%. The remaining 20% of the scores came from a Rest of the World vote.

If you missed the live broadcast, you can catch up on the show via the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel, where all National Selection Shows for Eurovision Asia are being streamed.
